Client’s direct to consumer advertising program to accelerate growth of novel bariatric procedure for patients suffering from morbid obesity was not succeeding as expected. After conducting extensive patient research it became clear there were numerous patient barriers prohibiting patient advancement toward the procedure. In addition, patients were not realizing the expected benefits of the surgery due to non compliance post surgery. Several factors contributed to this including shame and unwillingness to seek help, lack of education and information, and lack of peer support and trusted community.

The solution was a destination portal that allowed them to register, catalogue their barriers, receive education and training, and ultimately enter into a process where they could plan and realize their goals before, during and after surgery. The solution included community support, practitioner interaction, real world testimonials, and much more.
